There is a secret Bologna hiding away among its courtyards and behind the walls of its old historical buildings. Places like the Grand Hotel Majestic “già” Baglioni, housed in an 18th-century palazzo that resembles a museum. In this video interview with journalist Savina Confaloni, manager Tiberio Biondi tells us about some of the Majestic’s treasures, taking us to up the hotel’s piano nobile, where elegant galleries lead to the suites. Everywhere we look we find examples of beauty, of design, antiques and details that fascinate and excite our curiosity as much today as they did when the hotel opened at the height of the Belle Epoque, in 1912. This is why to stay at the Majestic is to immerse oneself in art and history, on a par with all the great celebrities – nobles, artists, politicians, Nobel prize winners and stars of Hollywood – who have been guests here on their visits to the city.
