This year's Urban Trekking will be slow but as always interesting and engaging. Slow Tourism is, in fact, the main theme of the XVI Urban Trekking National Day which will take place in Italy on Thursday 31st October. Bologna has extended the event beyond the national day and will welcome tourists eager to discover the city at a slow pace on Saturday 2nd November too. This year Urban Trekking will be organized a bit differently from the last few years: associations of professional tourist guides, in fact, will not only devise the tours, but will also receive reservations from participants and will accompany the groups as well.

In particular, Trekking Urbano Bologna will welcome foreign tourists with two special free guided tours in English: on Thursday 31st October, you will follow the trails of some of the celebrities that stopped in the shade of the Two Towers, learn curious anecdotes on them and, above all, discover the charm that Bologna exercised on them; on Saturday 2nd November, you will stroll through the narrow streets of Bologna Medieval Market district and you will meet artisans that still today produce masterpieces and 'jewels' of rare beauty.

No matter how you reach Bologna: once you're here, you'll want to walk! Urban Trekking is suitable for everybody, well-trained or not, adults and children.
