In the rooms of Palazzo Belloni the story unfolds, through unforgettable fragments, of the American dream, testimonies of a shining epoch entrusted to the eloquence of two hundred photographs - partly unpublished - from the Kennedy archives, along a path curated by Frédéric Lecomte- Dieu, biographer of the clan. In the spotlight, power and grace, documented in a context dominated by political and social transformations, highlighted by the advent of television: scenes of public and private life, from cold war to space missions, from diplomatic victories to the moon landing , loves, scandals, tragedies, burst into homes, starting the era of the globalized image.
Several items that marked the history of the Kennedys, kept at the JFK Museum in Boston, will be on display, enhancing the exhibition. Jacqueline’s wedding dress and the President’s original rocking chair are outstanding examples of these.
