Considered an innovator in the field of realistic portraiture, a pupil of Domenico Morelli and friend of De Nittis, whose Parisian salon he was a regular visitor to, Corcos is one of the most appreciated interpreters of the feelings and customs of the Belle époque.

The historic circuit on the banks of the Santerno hosted the Italian GP for the first time in 1980 to replace Monza. The San Marino GP has been on the calendar since 1981 and will run for 26 editions, up to 2006. The curves of Tosa and Rivazza have been the scene of the legendary challenges that have fascinated fans for years.

Located in Piazza Maggiore, Torre Accursi is also known as the Clock Tower, a very large building that included a school, with the portico facing the square, and a corner tower. The tower was incorporated into the Accursio residence which, shortly after the death of the owner, was purchased by the new Municipality, which was in the process of expansion.

Few people know, however, that the dream vision at the basis of this magnificent mise-en scène is the result of a meticulous, intimate but no less visionary work: drawings with tempera and chalk on cardboard that evoke both the physical and the personality traits of the actors, as well as a range of environments varyingly domestic, foreign, or surreal.

The exhibition, promoted by Pallavicini S.r.l Group has been curated by the Robert Doisneau Atelier (Montrouge, Fr), created by FrancineDeroudillee Annette Doisneau to preserve and represent the photographer’s works in collaboration with Anne Morin.
