Mika Rottenberg
Rottenberg uses the various languages of film, architectural installation and sculpture to explore the concepts of class, work, gender and value by means of visual image devices which throw light on the connections and concealed processes behind apparently unrelated global economies. Interweaving fictional and documentary data in stories in which geographies and narratives collapse into surreal non-sense, the artist creates complex allegories on the capitalist system which regulates the human condition and massive goods production processes.
Goran Trbuljak
The exhibition, which comes from the Centre d’Art Contemporain Genève as a strongly revised version for the spaces of Villa delle Rose, features artwork from the last 50 years including paintings, frottage, grisaille, photographs, films, books and documents related to Trbuljak's artistic life.
Mostra Ex Africa
The exhibition is divided into a number of sections: from formal quality expressed by large and small works to ancient objects from famous African kingdoms, together with masks and figures representing rituals and power.

Alphonse Mucha
Czech-born Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939) was one of the most influential and celebrated artists in fin-de-siècle Paris, best known for his graphic work such as his theatre posters for the ‘super-star’ actress Sarah Bernhardt and his decorative panels featuring graceful women. Mucha created a distinctive style – le style Mucha – characterised by harmonious compositions, sinuous forms, organic lines and muted palette, which became synonymous with the newly emerging decorative style of the time – Art Nouveau.
