Bologna's G. Marconi Airport has been certified as Covid-safe, making it the first in Italy.
The Bologna airport has been awarded the “Airport Health Accreditation” certificate by the International Airports Council (ACI).
It is the first airport in Italy—and among the first in the world—to have its health measures and procedures implemented in response to the COVID-19 pandemic recognized as compliant with the recommendations and guidelines of international civil aviation and aviation safety agencies.
The accreditation covers the airport's cleaning and disinfection procedures, social distancing measures, staff protection, communications, and passenger facilities.
