The project was born in November 2017 in Turin within the Neruda Popular Space, an atypical housing occupation. Together with the inhabitants, fourteen fabric flags were imagined, designed and then sewn that tell stories, thoughts, dreams and memories of their authors.
These artifacts are no longer "just" flags, but "ultra" -flags. They are transformed into something else, stratifying meanings: they are tapestries, rugs, sheets or tablecloths ...
No more identity banners but open narratives, which everyone can read and interpret in their own way. The project ended in spring (May 2019) with the installation of flags inside the place where they were created, the Neruda People's Space.
